The local organizer provides volunteers or employees to walk residential and public areas to identify planting sites. Planing site standards (pdf) |

Your volunteers record the address, the number of trees offered on the field form, and leave the door hanger that describes the program. |

Planting projects are supervised by the TFS regional forester, or local designee, such as the local Master Gardener or representative from the Cooperative Extension office. |

Postcards are collected, trees are ordered, and the delivery is scheduled. |

| Tree Delivery |
 |
The trees are delivered to a secure, central location within the community. The local organizer utilizes the TFS list to schedule tree delivery. |

| Tree Planting |
 |
Your residents plant the trees. The resident or business becomes the owner of the tree and is responsible for watering and maintenance. |

| Planting Survey |
 |
The local organization checks to see if the tree was planted and submits their checklist to TFS. |
| |
| Summary Article |
 |
The primary contact within the towns' organization submits photos and a summary article about the planting project, which will be used in TUFC's newsletters to share ideas, best practices, etc. |
