Charles Burditt



Charles Burditt began his professional career in 1976 with the Texas Forest Service in Conroe as Management and Urban Forester.

He worked extensively in the Houston area in matters relating to urban development and the interface between rural forest use.

A consultant since 1979, Mr. Burditt has held offices statewide in The Society of American Foresters and Consulting Foresters of Texas.

He has been on the Board of Directors of The Texas Forestry Association, International Society of Arboriculture - Texas, Texas Urban Forestry Council, and Conroe Beautification Association.

He has served on numerous committees for professional associations, state agencies, appraisal districts, etc.

Currently, he serves on the Urban and Community Forestry Extension Advisory Committee and Texas A & M University Forest Science Advisory Council.

Receiving a B. S. in Forestry from Texas A & M University in 1976, he was named by the Faculty as the Most Outstanding Senior Forestry Student.In addition to the previous memberships mentioned, he is a member of the nationally prestigious Association of Consulting Foresters.

He was the only Texas Consulting Forester chosen by the Texas A & M System to serve in 1995 on the Selection Committee to select a new State Forester for the State.
